OKUTAMA EKIDEN
Namban Rengo will have two men’s teams and two women’s team in the
71st Okutama Ekiden on December 6th. Last year the men’s teams
finished 30th and 45th out of 95 teams. The women’s team was 14th out
of 33 teams.

The course is 46.6km long. 3 legs out and 3 back.
The first is 8.5km--flat until 500m from the end, then uphill.
The second is 8.4km, partly flat, partly hilly, more up than down.
The third is 6.5km, again partly hilly, more up than down.
The fourth is 6.3km, reverse of the third.
Fifth and sixth are exactly the reverse of the second and first.
